NexusHealth supports video and image capture for clinical documentation of ROP examinations.

Video Capture

Recording from Camera

  1. During an examination, tap "Capture Video"
  2. Position the camera over the examination field
  3. Tap the record button to start
  4. Tap again to stop recording
  5. Preview and confirm the video

Importing from Gallery

  1. Tap "Import Video"
  2. Select a video from your device gallery
  3. Video is imported into the examination

Video Playback

Playback Controls

  • Play/Pause: Standard playback control
  • Speed Control: Adjust playback speed (0.5x, 1x, 1.5x, 2x)
  • Scrubbing: Drag the timeline to navigate
  • Full Screen: Expand for detailed viewing

Speed Control

Slow motion playback is useful for:

  • Detailed vascular analysis
  • Training and education
  • Documentation review

Frame Capture (Screenshots)

Capture still images from video:

  1. Play the video to the desired frame
  2. Pause playback
  3. Tap "Capture Frame"
  4. The frame is saved as a high-quality image
  5. Image is attached to the examination

Tips for Good Frame Captures

  • Use slow playback speed for precise selection
  • Ensure the frame shows the area of interest clearly
  • Capture multiple frames for comparison
  • Avoid motion blur frames

Video Trimming

Trim videos to relevant portions:

  1. Open the video editor
  2. Drag the start and end handles on the timeline
  3. Preview the trimmed segment
  4. Tap "Save Trim"
  5. Original video is preserved, trimmed version is created

When to Trim

  • Remove setup and positioning footage
  • Focus on the examination findings
  • Reduce file size for storage
  • Highlight specific pathology

Sharing

Share videos and images:

  1. Select the media to share
  2. Tap the Share button
  3. Choose sharing method:
    • Email attachment
    • System share sheet
    • Export to files

Sharing Considerations

  • Videos may be large files
  • Consider trimming before sharing
  • Ensure sharing complies with your facility's policies
  • Patient data privacy must be maintained

Storage Management

Local Storage

  • Videos are stored locally on device
  • Synced to server when connected
  • Local copies retained for offline access

Storage Indicators

  • View storage usage in Settings
  • Warnings when storage is low
  • Options to clear synced media

  1. Before Capture

    • Clean camera lens
    • Ensure adequate lighting
    • Check storage availability
  2. During Capture

    • Maintain steady positioning
    • Capture all relevant areas
    • Record adequate duration
  3. After Capture

    • Review video immediately
    • Trim unnecessary portions
    • Capture key frames as images
    • Verify sync to server
